Exhibition: The Life and Times of Cy Grant

                                   Cy Grant 1919 - 2010

I went to see this exhibition which is touring and teaching us about his life. In the early 1950's, Cy was the first black artist to perform regularly on British television but he was so much more.

Black RAF World War 2 Hero. Cy Grant - a soldier, musician, singer, actor, philosopher... As an actor he was a star in Sea Wife with Joan Collins, Richard Burton and Basil Sydney. He established the Drum Arts Centre in London and published  his poetry and other books including "Blackness and the Dreaming Soul."

He was also made an Honorary Fellow of University of Roehampton. With this exhibition, Cy Grant continues to entertain and inspire even after his passing.
