Support, these students 1-3

We want to take 100 young Black dancers to see the legendary Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at Sadler's Wells Theatre. CAN YOU HELP?

Since Artistry Youth Dance started in 2013, we've showcased and celebrated young dancers of African and Caribbean descent, and taken them to see live dance shows across a range of genres. We know from our own experiences and testimonials from our young dancers how important it is for them to see successful role models take up space in different dance genres that they once thought were not for people that looked like them.

About the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, led by Alvin Ailey and a group of young African-American modern dancers, have changed forever the perception of American dance forever.

The Ailey company has gone on to perform for an estimated 25 million people, 71 countries on six continents – as well as millions more through television broadcasts, film screenings, and online platforms. For more information about the company, visit:  https://www.alvinailey.org

Why are we doing this?

For the Artistic Director of Artistry Youth Dance, Kamara Gray, seeing the AAADT literally changed her life. Like many other people from African and Caribbean descent the opportunity to be surrounded by such talented dancers was life changing.

Last time the Company came to Sadler's Wells, we took a group of 15 young Black dancers to see the company. This year we want to take 100. We want more young dancers of African and Caribbean descent to be uplifted, inspired, and encouraged to pursue their dreams in dance, the Arts, or whatever career path they choose. Can you help us make this a reality?

Here are some costs:

1 x ticket for a young person - £12
10 x tickets for young people - £120
1 x programme for a young person - £4.00

We want to crowdfund and reach the target of amount £1600! Any donation small or large will be greatly appreciated!

Help us to encourage the next generation of young black dancers to reach their potential, and SHINE!

THANK YOU!
