Bad Girls, The Musical
Performed  by The Third Year Urdang Students

Director : Laura Checkley
Musical Director: Matthew Samer
Choreographer: Philip Michael Thomas
Dance Captain: Elizabeth Armstrong

This performance was outstanding with the highest level of energy. In fact it was live and direct. They performed as if they were in real life. Living it in the now. We the audience, entered into their prison lives and the stories that their lives now found the girls unfolded to us.

We very quickly bonded with the different characters. Your head or heart, could take sides at speed. The prison officers helped to push the different outcomes, of the girls. Strong acting and singing made us develop an understanding for each drama we faced. Athena Collins  has a beautiful voice. Adam Claydon  played a very hard character, well and Sophie Golden also held her own.

The whole cast and ensemble brought an abundance of wit and honesty to stage.

The characters were all very strong. Mary Flynn acted by Lydia Tuffy was true to detail. She was funny, sad and in love.
The other characters Franklin Shepard actor Jack Chambers and Charley Kringas and played by Jordan Abey displayed a good understanding of the roles. Tabitha Farley, Ronny Shevill and Zoe Louise all had strong voice for song.

The characters and ensemble all showed, a brilliant friendship towards each other which made the story come a live.
