The Haringey Dance Competition 2016
THE HARINGEY DANCE COMPETITION 2016 – PART OF THE LORDSHIP REC YOUTH FESTIVAL!
SATURDAY 9TH JULY 2016
14.00 onwards @ Lordship Rec (Shell Stage)
FREE registration is NOW OPEN for all Haringey based dance schools,
clubs & organisations.
Enter as a group, trio, duet or as a soloist. All dance styles welcome.
Have the opportunity to compete live on the day, performing in front
of an audience of young people, the general public and a panel of
expert judges. Plus an awards presentation at the end of the day.
Your time slot for the day will be confirmed by email after entry
closes Saturday 25th June 2016.
To enter your school, group or performer please email louise.c@solestar.co.uk
The Haringey Dance Competition Rules:
• Entry closes on the 25th of June 2016.
• Limited spaces are available.
• All performers must be between 8-18yrs.
• Acts on the day will be divided into appropriate age/style
categories. The average age of each group will be calculated to
determine the age group it is judged as.
•Max number of 12 performers in any group piece.
•Music must not contain explicit themes or lyrics and be suitable for
all ages.
- To be provided on ipod/mp3 player with mini jack connector
(headphone output), or CD.
• Dances should be no longer that 3mins for groups and 2mins for
soloists/duos/trios.
• Please note- the stage area measures approx 6mX6m.
